PRIMARY PURPOSE: To maintain the Engineering Students’ Society webpage, and ensure its availability to students at any time.

 

NATURE OF WORK: Website Coordinators will work directly under the AVP Information Technology (IT) on the integrity and accuracy of the ESS website. Website Coordinators will also work together to assist the AVP IT in completing additional tasks required of the division pertaining to the ESS Website.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reporting directly to the AVP IT, Website Coordinators will work in a team to manage all website infrastructure and ensure the accuracy of the information presented on the website.

TASKS AND DUTIES: Report directly to the AVP IT on a regular basis; assist the AVP IT and team members in their capacity and ensure the website is updated with correct information; ensure the website is always available to students, industry, and the general public; work on competing projects with multiple deadlines; and, maintain the transition document for the Website Coordinator position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Candidates must be an undergraduate engineering student at the University of Alberta.
Experience
No previous experience is required for this position; however experience in technical writing would be beneficial.
Skills
Microsoft Office application skills; ability to work with and lead a team; possesses creative thinking and problem solving skills; effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal; proven vision and self-motivation skills; and, ability to work on multiple projects with competing demands to meet deadlines.
