PRIMARY PURPOSE: Be a photographer during ESS events. Produce the photography aspect of the ESS publications such as EnggLink, The Bridge, and the Year Book.

NATURE OF WORK: Photographers will work directly under the AVP Publications to ensure released materials do not violate ESS Policies. Able to attend ESS events to take pictures.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reporting directly to the AVP Publications, the photographers will work on various assignments pertaining to photos released to the public such as the EnggLink and Bridge
publications and the ESS Year Book.

TASKS AND DUTIES: Report directly to the AVP Publications on a regular basis; take the pictures for all publications associated with the ESS; able to attend any events hosted by ESS; ensure the released material is up to the Society’s high standard; work on competing projects with multiple deadlines; and, maintain the transition document for the Photographer position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Camera is provided by ESS, the photographers can use their own camera at own risks. ESS is not responsible for any damages done to your camera during the assignments*
Education
Candidates must be an undergraduate engineering student at the University of Alberta.
Experience
No previous experience is required for this position; however, experience in photography, using DSLR camera and editing photos is beneficial.
Skills
Microsoft Office application skills; ability to work with and lead a team; possesses creative thinking and problem-solving skills; effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal; proven vision and self-motivation skills; and, the ability to work on multiple projects with competing demands to meet deadlines.
