PRIMARY PURPOSE: Design and sell merchandise.

 

NATURE OF WORK: Manage a team to create engineering themed merchandise such as clothing, accessories, etc. Order created products to be sold at the Geer Store.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES: Merchandise is a way for Engineering Students to identify each other and be identified in the community. Merchandise is sold as a means of garnering revenue, and allowing students to represent and take pride in the faculty.

 

TASKS AND DUTIES:  Create merchandise that will appeal to the majority of the Engineering Students; promote the sale of merchandise to increase engineering spirit on campus as well as revenue; encourage students to purchase products to increase its popularity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Candidates must be an undergraduate engineering student at the University of Alberta.
Experience
No previous experience is required for this position; however experience in technical writing would be beneficial.
Skills
Microsoft Office application skills; ability to work with and lead a team; possesses creative thinking and problem solving skills; effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal; proven vision and self-motivation skills; and, ability to work on multiple projects with competing demands to meet deadlines.
